We started with a dream.
We're still building it.

Founded in 2009 in South Africa. Operating globally from the UK and South Africa. Driven by the same ambition we started with.

Built on a straightforward
but ambitious idea.

Bitcube began with a straightforward but ambitious idea: to give a community of talented developers and designers access to international-calibre work without leaving home. Founded in 2009 in South Africa, the company spent its early years proving that world-class software could be built anywhere — if you hired the right people and held yourself to the right standards.

From that Bloemfontein beginning, the team has grown to 70+ people across offices in London, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, and Pirot, serving clients across 7 countries. We signed our first UK client in 2014 and incorporated in the United Kingdom in 2023. The founding spirit — high standards, genuine innovation, and trust earned through delivery — has not changed.

Today, we combine deep technical expertise with next-generation AI to help our clients move faster, build smarter, and scale with confidence. We're ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certified, and we don't outsource — every line of code is written in-house.

Not just principles.
Actual commitments.

These aren't words on a wall. They're the decisions we make every day about how we hire, how we build, and how we treat the people we work with.

Office-first collaboration

We believe the best software comes from teams that actually talk to each other. Our teams work from the same office most days of the week — not because we distrust remote work, but because we've seen what happens when a team is genuinely in the room together. Tighter communication. Faster decisions. Better outcomes.

Responsible AI

We hold ISO 42001 certification — the international standard for AI management systems. Every AI-assisted process in our delivery pipeline is governed, audited, and accountable. We use AI to make your product better. We don't use it to cut corners and hope you won't notice.

Long-term thinking

We've supported multiple startups from their first line of code to Series A funding. We don't build and disappear. The relationships we value most are the ones that have lasted years — because that's when we can do our best work.

Community investment

We run a structured graduate programme in partnership with the Central University of Technology — a four-month, tutor-led course that turns capable graduates into engineers ready for real client work. Building our own bench is how we invest in people and keep quality high as we grow.

Certified. Verified. Accountable.

These aren't marketing badges. They're commitments with annual audits behind them.

We don't just hire good engineers.
We help build them.

That belief is why we run a structured graduate programme — a four-month, tutor-led course that takes capable graduates and turns them into engineers who can hold their own on real client work. We recruit each cohort in partnership with the Central University of Technology.

Graduates work through the same disciplines we deliver for clients every day — professional and workplace skills, including how to work effectively alongside AI tooling, plus mobile, backend, and frontend development, and eCommerce theme development. They finish with hands-on experience in the areas we actually build in, not just classroom theory.

Those who finish at the top of their cohort are invited to interview for an internship — a real route into the company, not a certificate for the wall. It works both ways: talented graduates get a proper start in a demanding industry, and we gain engineers who understand our standards from day one. Building our own bench is how we keep quality high as we grow.
